Default Re: IRS Tax penalty & interest due to JK Harris non-performa

Go in and get your papers. NOW. And find someone who will
do them the returns.

Then talk to your lawyer.

And now you know what we all knew about JK Harris.

You're out of luck with respect to the penalties and
interest. "My accountant ate my homework" isn't an
acceptable reason for late filing/payment.

As for the fees you paid Harris, there's always small claims
court and the Better Business Bureau.

Default IRS Tax penalty & interest due to JK Harris non-performa

I contracted with JK Harris company in Oct. 2004. Told they
would do my 1065, k-1, 1 schedule C, 1040 and MN M-3 & M-1
returns in two weeks. In May 2005 (7 months later), after
many attempts to contact JK Harris by phone and email they
finally called me after over 7 months of no replies. They
said they were going to do my returns. I informed them I
filed the returns the day before with the IRS and MN. I
asked for my money back. They referred me to supervisor. I
asked for an email or fax if the name of the supervisor. I
received nothing from them. It's now June 5, 2005 and still
no reply to that information or any contact regarding my
refund request. There will be penalties and interest due
both IRS and MN due to late filing which, I beleive, JK
Harris caused a great deal of this time delay.

Any advice?
