| $182 billion. Hmm. If not refunded, those dollars would eliminate a very large portion of the budget deficit. (<g> ?) I would not be surprised if that thought has not crossed the imaginative(?) mind of someone at Treasury -- or higher. And it could prove to be beneficial to the tax preparation profession. Once stung, many taxpayers would seek aid in their W-4 and quarterly installment payment calculations. (Please don't take this post seriously and respond regarding how ridiculous it is. I am fully aware of that.
