I don't use TT, so I can't speak to that issue exactly, but
we've always put daycare meals for our DC provider clients,
either actual expense from grocery purchases or meals served
multiplied by the IRS cost allowances, on the "Other
Expenses" lines on page 2 of Sch. C. I'm a preparer based in
the St Paul, MN area fwiw...

Computers don't eat, so they're not overly curious about how
much you spend on snacks.

I have no idea what you're talking about here. Is this
money you spent on snacks for the customers or is it money
someone gave you to buy snacks for the customers?

Your income and expenses for this activity go on Schedule C.
If TT interview doesn't ask you about "other" expenses, get
out of the miserable interview and go into forms mode and
put them on Schedule C.

Default Where to enter expenses for food provided to the daycare recepients in TurboTax?

We have a home based licensed daycare in MN. I am using
TurboTax for our tax returns.

I am confused about where to enter the expenses for the food
provided to the daycare recepients in TurboTax. In spite to
declaring to TurboTax that it is a daycare business, it does
not ask about this expense. We did not recieve any form 1099
from the reimbursement providers. Your help is highly
appreciated.

Thanks,
Anil
