| You do not need to match his income with the forms 1099. Just report *all* of his income on Schedule C. Don't forget SE tax. All goes on Form 1040. IRS will have this information available late in 2005, but maybe not until a 2nd extension to 10/15 after the Form 4868 to 8/15. Use Form 4506-T to obtain the 1099s. If you can determine the figure on your own, you can file now. Might want to still put a Post-It note on the fridge to submit Form 4506-T later to check it. You can also contact the firms who paid your husband, but 4868 extension will be needed now. Don't worry about it. The lack of a 1099 doesn't preclude> just not sure I've got all the 1099's we should have. We're > having a "bad paperwork" year and nothing is matching up! filing a true and correct tax return. Your husband's only concern is to report the total and correct amount of his income. | Is there a quick way to find out what misc income was reported to the IRS for work my husband has done? Ideally, I'd like to be able to log in to the IRS and see a listing of income reported for last year, but I don't see a service like that. He does small consulting jobs for several clients and I'm just not sure I've got all the 1099's we should have. We're having a "bad paperwork" year and nothing is matching up! Thanks for the help!
