It is $2.139 in Virginia. But we have lower road taxes and
are willing to have refineries nearby. You make your bed now
you have to use it.

Yes. It's now 40.5 cents (which seems rather paltry as
gasoline heads towards $3/gallon).

40.5 cents (unless and until Congress changes it).

Can any one please tell me if the business mileage rate
allowed by the IRS went up for 2005 from 2004's 37.5 cents?
I couldn't find it on the IRS web site.

I just bought a business and will probably take the mileage
rate for now.
