Never send more than one return in one envelope. You can,
If you like waiting a month for a reply, send the returns
via certified mail with return post card. All of this is
not necessary. Regular mail is suffient.

Mailing separately is usually recommended.

See http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/i1040.pdf at the bottom
of page 15 talks of UPS, Fedex and DHL.

USPS Certified Mail is usually more economical. It is the
mailing date that counts-- not the time of delivery.

Separately, and use the U S Postal SErvice, registerd mail,
return receipt requested, alTHOUGH, this will not be proof
positive of what each envelope contained.

Mail each seperately. It gets rid of the possibility that
one will be overlooked.

Certified mail, return receipt requested.

Default filing returns for 3 years

I will be filing my tax return forms for 2002-2004 (Federal,
NY State and NYC).

I have a technical question: should I mail the returns for
each of the three years separately, or together? I failed to
find any info on IRS web site.

Also, is there any way to use anything other than USPS
regular mail? I'd like to have proof of delivery.
