Each sucessive stock loss you input doesn't change. That's cause you're limited to only 3M$ loss per year. The dynamic updating is always on. Do you have a net capital> gains/losses, turbotax was dynamically updating > the taxes due. Now nothing changes no matter > what I do with the schedule D form. Is there an > option for setting the dynamic update feature? The amount over $3,000 has to be carried over to future years. So if the additional capital transactions that you are entering are not reducing your total net loss below $3,000, then this year's tax is not going to change. That could be why it looks like TurboTax is not updating. The limit is $1,500 if you are married filing separately. << -------------------------------------------------> << The Charter and the Guidelines for submitting > << messages to this newsgroup are at www.asktax.org > << -------------------------------------------------> |

| When I first started inputting my capital gains/losses, turbotax was dynamically updating the taxes due. Now nothing changes no matter what I do with the schedule D form. Is there an option for setting the dynamic update feature? I closed the program and restarted but no change.
