Thanks for the referral, Dick. But OP is correct when he
uses "M" for thousand, since that harkens back to Roman
days. Example, this year is MMV.

Now, as for the calculations, to the OP, perhaps you did not
include in your calculations some type of adjustment? Take
a fresh look at the instructions.

Default taxable soc sec benefits and turbo tax 2004 deluxe-help!

I and my wife have 25M in benefits for 2004 and 18.8M is taxable
according to
turbo tax fed. i did it manually with the form provided in the 1040
instructions
and came up with $21.4M as taxable. i hope that turbo tax is not
screwed up here!
keeping my fingers crossed.
