Yes, it goes on form 2106 then flows to Schedule A. This
all hinges on *if* you have enough to itemize.

Unless you have a new car and are going to trade every other
year or sooner, it is ususlly better to take the standard
milage rate than actual expenses.

Keep good records.

Yes. It's a Schedule A itemized deduction.

Default Employee car expenses

I drive my car for company's work. My company does not pay
me for this. Can I deduct this as an employee business
expense even though I am a W2 employee - not self-employeed
or 1099. I almost drove 2000 miles on company's work last
year.

What will be more beneficial if i take standard milage or
actual depreciation/expenses etc/
