My personal favorite is from Jeff MacNelly, printed on March11, 1977; the US Individual Tax Return, Form 1040, for 1976. Examples: Filing Status: Single; Double; Sacrifice Fly; Married Filing Singly Joint Return (even if spouse is married separately); Joint Married Single Separate Spouse (but filing double jointed); Head of Household filing separate but joint return (if unmarried but jointly single); Head of joint filing single file spouses's separately; Widow(er) with separate dependent filing out of joint return singly. Line 9: Wages, Salaries, Tips, Extortion (attach W2 forms to your forehead with heavy duty staple gun): I now always ask my clients about wages, salaries, tips, and extortion (and I've shown them all the cartoon).... If anyone wants a scanned version, email me outside the group... Ah now I know. It's a reflection of the "kinder and gentler" IRS when they ask, actually solicit, your input. Times, they are a'changin. | Does anyone have a link to a printible form that was made up to look legit for the so-called Clinton Simplified Tax Code that made the rounds a few years ago. An accounting friend said he saw one on a wall of a firm recently that looked really legit. The fonts and format looked just like a 1040. The text is: Clinton's Simplified Tax Form Part 1. Income 1. How much money did you make last year?...> _________ 2. Send it in...............................> _________ 3. If you have any questions or comments, please write them on the provided line > _ Curious so I can pull it for another accounting friend of mine as a gag gift. -- Regards - - Andrew << -------------------------------------------------> << The Charter and the Guidelines for submitting > << messages to this newsgroup are at www.asktax.org > << -------------------------------------------------> |
