I'd prefer the latter. If nothing else, adjust partnership
draws to reflect the value of the mileage. And unlike years
ago, you get the full allowance no matter how many miles.
But with that much business use you need to buy a new truck
about every other year, so $45K over 2 years is about right.

Default Standard Mileage Rate - partnership

Partnership (husband and wife) is in the oilfield business,
husband puts 60,000 business miles per year on the vehicle,
and prefers to take the standard mileage allowance. Can the
partnership take the standard mileage rate deduction? If
not, can the partnership reimburse the partner for the
standard mileage rate and cliam the deduction?

Thanks
