Yes, a 1040x is on point.> realize I need to file a form 83(b) and a form 3520. > Can I just send these in (and to where)? Or do I need to do > file an amended return? IRS can't do anything without a formal document, and the 1040x fills the bill. Send the signed 3520 to: IRS Center, Philadelphia, PA 19255.> realize I need to file a form 83(b) and a form 3520. > Can I just send these in (and to where)? Or do I need to do > file an amended return? Due date is the same as your tax return. There is no Form 83(b). The election is a statement prepared by you in the proper manner. Complete details for making the election and filing the election are at: http://www.fairmark.com/execcomp/sec83b.htm Note that the election under IRC Section 83(b) must be made within 30 days after you receive the property. Miss the 30 day deadline and you are out of luck! -- Alan http://taxtopics.net << -------------------------------------------------> << The Charter and the Guidelines for submitting > << messages to this newsgroup are at www.asktax.org > << -------------------------------------------------> |

| I efiled last weekend and my return was accepted, but I now realize I need to file a form 83(b) and a form 3520. Can I just send these in (and to where)? Or do I need to do file an amended return?
