If all your work was done in New Hampshire, you do not owe anything to Massachusetts. I'm not anywhere even near New Hampshire or even> state of New Hampshire. Last year I did a contract work for > a company in Massachusetts for three months and for about > $5,000. Do I have to file local tax with the MA state? Does > it have to be filed at the same time with the federal tax? Taxachussetts, but I'm going out on a limb here and say yes, you DO owe Mass. One of my clients who's only income in that state last year was about 5500$ in unemployement wound up owing them about... 168$, if memory servces. Something close to that anyway. | I have always lived and worked in the zero local income tax state of New Hampshire. Last year I did a contract work for a company in Massachusetts for three months and for about $5,000. Do I have to file local tax with the MA state? Does it have to be filed at the same time with the federal tax?
