Thanks. It's been a few years since we set up the company
and I don't remember why I don't have to file this, but I
believe it is because I am a Personal service corporation.

Victor, it would be the ST-100 and the ST-101 amongst
others. One's for quarterly and the other's for yearly.

Victor, it would be the ST-100 and the ST-101 amongst
others. One's for quarterly and the other's for yearly.

Hmmmm, FINALLY got through to someone over there at NYS Dept
of Taxation and was told that one is notified automatically
after 1 year as long as taxes paid are below $3,000 (I
believe is what he said.).

If I don't hear from them after the next quarterly
filing....then I should give them a call.

thx all anyhow.

Err, thanks David but that tells me nothing.

IIRC NYS spells out the provisions on its forms and
instructions in which one would qualify for annual filings.

Which form? I own a NY State C Corp, don't sell anything
other than my services and don't file any NYS forms except
for the quarterly NYS-45 for withholding and my CT-4 income
tax.

In Texas it is almost automatic to be on annual reporting
for State Sales Tax. Call your Franchise board and ask
them.

Default Sales & Use in NYS (yearly vs. quarterly)

Since I can neither find the info on their site nor get
through to NYS Tax on the phone and my CPA is probably
suffering through another hangover, I've a question about
Sales & Use Tax.

My business (S corporation) makes no direct sales whatsoever
and there are always plenty of 0's on my quarterly forms
whenever I file them (except of course for my figure for
Line 1).

ANYHOW, how easy is it for me to get them to move me to
yearly filing in lieu of this annoying quarterly filing? Or
would I be wasting my breathe and time?

Suggestions, info appreciated.
