You're a year off. The 2005 inflation adjustments are done
in 2004 and are shown in the 2005 1040-ES.

Circular E (Pub 15) would help, also.

These are determined in October 2005.
The 2004 rates are at irs.gov.

It's in a different format than before, but it's on page 72
of the 2004 1040 instructions. For 2005, see the 2005
1040-ES. Note that if your taxable income is below $100,000
you must use the Tax Tables. It's not dealer's choice.

These rates actually come with the 1040-ES -- which is used
to estimate taxes for the upcoming year. I'm going to
assume you and Angela are filing jointly, so I can
efficiently answre your question:

For 2005, the rates for MFJ are:

$0 to $14,600 ..... _____ 10% over $0
$14,600 - $59,400 - $ 730+ 15% over $14,600
$59,400 - $119,950 $8,160+ 25% over $59,400
etc. (from 1040-ES for 2005)

(Hope the above chart holds together for posting.)

Default Federal Tax Rates for 2005 under $100,000

In past years the Form 1040 Instructions provided tax rates
for under $100,000. With these rates we could use Excell to
automatically figure our taxes without using the tax table.
Last year it was 10% from 0 to $7,000; $700 from $7,000 to
$28,400 plus 15% of anything over $7,000, etc. Does anyone
know what these rates are for 2005 up to $100,000?
