If you register, they have your name for the reeducation
camps that will come after the revolution.

Yeah, I understand what you mean. I feel the same way about
the National Inquirer.

(Speaking of which, there was a case several years ago in
which one of those tabloids was sued by an 80 year-old woman
when the paper used her photo and said she was a 100
year-old who had just given birth. The paper's defense was
that, well, everybody knew it was all lies, so that nobody
would ever take the article seriously!)

the middle of tax season, and I gets SO... tired. That
snipped from William Brenner completely excaped my notice.
NOT that I would consider myself "certain of our readers."
(grin.

But Stu, in all honesty, even if I did that, tried to access
it incognito, "I" would know!

Ahem, you forgot someone Dick. Are we sure the author of
that piece didn't have the initials JFK and have a long jaw?

Well, Harlan can get a disposible email address, sign up for
the Times (it's still free) with a phony name and nobody
will ever, ever know.

Tried it. Don't like it. Not nearly as impressive.

And, most important: Certain of our readers -- who shall
remain nameless -- would be shocked that from the short
version they would be accessing an article from the
despised "left wing" 'NY Times' <g> .
