No, must have been more like 1958. BTW - we got 2 feet of
snow here last month and the roads and my driveway were
cleared by noon.

You might be thinking of winter of 1966, at which time in
February Bal'mer got two feet! that's 24 inches of snow on
the ground starting on a Thursday. I remember it well,
being stranded at home in Perry Hall. I bet Bal'mer hasn't
seen that much snow since that time.

Moderator: The Winter of '66 sucked everywhere in the land
of the damnyankee snow. I think it was '96 or
'97 there was a vicious that shut the place down.

Here in Boulder, we didn't have many snow plows either; we
relied on good old Sol to clear the streets. Worked pretty
well except on the north side of hills (of which we have
quite a few), or when we got a huge dump followed by a cold
snap. Nowadays they just spray Mag Chlor, which leaves an
awful mess on the cars.

The companies mentioned do no have enough side arms for all
of the repair employees in the city.

Didn't know you were in Ball-a-meer. Went to high school
there, Baltimore Poly, way back in the 1960's. I had just
moved down from NY and we got a big snowstorm on a Thursday
that shut down the city for days - they had only one snow
plow at the time I think. We were out of school for 6 days,
Friday and Mon-Fri of the following week. I now live in
upstate NY and there are few storms that are not cleaned up
by the morning commute.

It's snowing in metro DC as I type. All hope is lost.

Ball-a-meer, the city that slurs, is being hit by a "March
comes in like a Lion" storm. Do not be surprised if MTM
is not updated for a few days. Baltimore Gas & Electic,
Verizon Telephone services, and Comcast Cable have a pact
whereby nobody fixes anything that ain't their's. I have
been OUT for as long as 8 days in the past.
