Each country has its own sailaway boat scheme. E.g., it is 6
months in the UK. Try an internet search using "sailaway
boat scheme" and the country name.

To paraphrase an old cliche: if you have to ask, you can't
afford the yacht :-)

Default VAT on boats in Europe

Hi-

I am buying a yacht in France. I intend to stay in Europe
for several months at least and then sail to the South Pacific.

My question is: how long can I stay in Europe without paying
the VAT?

John.
