| A somewhat shorter list appears in the 2004 Pub 17, page 319. Also in 2003 1040 instructions. Another good reason to retain leftover forms/instructions from prior years. << -------------------------------------------------> << The Charter and the Guidelines for submitting > << messages to this newsgroup are at www.asktax.org > << -------------------------------------------------> |

| The Partial List of Forms Available by Fax (which also can be ordered by telephone to arrive in the mail) and Partial List of Publications that used to be printed near the front of the Form 1040 instructions is gone! The only thing left is the Teletax Topics (recorded phone messages you can listen to) The list of forms and publications was in numerical order, and you could scan them to determine what are the most commonly used forms. There would also be a brief description of the purpose of the form or publication. Anything that looked interesting or possibly relevant you could order. Now, on the IRS website the list can't even printed out. The best you can do is go a previous year's 1040 instructions - say http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-02/i1040gi.pdf And in that case page down to pages 10 11 and 12 of the PDF file. << -------------------------------------------------> << The Charter and the Guidelines for submitting > << messages to this newsgroup are at www.asktax.org > << -------------------------------------------------> |
