Unless of course, the 300$ was not in the course of a
regular trade or business, therefore line 21, other income.

Yes. Just because they are not required to issue a
1099-misc does not mean that you are not required to report
it on Schedule C.

Yes indeed. ALL income is taxable, regardless of whether
or not is is/was subject to 1099 reporting. Period

Yes. If that's the only side income you had, report it on
line 21 of the 1040.

I did a little work for a company and they paid me $300 and
didn't take tax out. They also didn't submit a 1099 to the
IRS or myself because it was under the $600 minimum that
required them to do so. Do I need to claim this $300 on my
income taxes?
