Eventually, the 2004 versions will show up. One way to tell if the form has been updated is to use the following link at the IRS. It lists all the forms in a small window with a sliding bar so you can browse the list. The applicable tax year for the form is listed first. http://www.irs.gov/formspubs/lists/0,,id=97817,00.html -- Alan http://taxtopics.net << -------------------------------------------------> << The Charter and the Guidelines for submitting > << messages to this newsgroup are at www.asktax.org > << -------------------------------------------------> |

The listing says it was last updated at 2:07 this morning (the 29th), so hopefully you've found it by now. | Hi fellow taxpayers, I am an exchange student and I'm looking for the right forms to do my taxes. I need to use the 1040NR but the IRS doesn't seem to have updated their website, they only have it for the tax year 2003. Look at these two links: http://www.irs.gov/instructions/i1040nre/ http://www.irs.gov/instructions/i1040nr/ The first one says "Instructions for Form 1040NR-EZ (2004)" and the second one says "Instructions for Form 1040NR (2003)". I'd like to use the EZ form but I can't because of $32.46 earned with my savings account. The only 1040NR 2004 available is a draft: http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/ So what should I do? Just wait? Thanks a lot, Tony << -------------------------------------------------> << The Charter and the Guidelines for submitting > << messages to this newsgroup are at www.asktax.org > << -------------------------------------------------> |
