It was a student's machine that had some malware installed
on it, unknown to the student (until his access was cut
off).

As luck would have it, the injury and surgery are very
similar to what I had done in December of 2003 on my left
shoulder. That one had torn cartilage and scar tissue
because I had to wait to get the surgery until my back had
healed.

If I'm lucky, I'll have use of the right arm in time for the
mid-March tax season crush.

This surgery is nearly the exact same thing as what I had on
the left shoulder 12/03. That one had torn cartilage too.

I haven't heard back from U of W. I'll e-mail the provost
again.

You sound as though you've checked it out, but just in case,
always get a detailed description of what the provider plans
to do, then run it by the insurance company. While I have
heard quite a few insurance "horror stories" (uncovered
medical expenses) in my time, none as of yet from those who
took the time to ASK FIRST.

By the way, other than "somebody from Univ of Wisconsin, did
you ever unmask the culprit who ran the last spam attack
hereabouts?

I got bad news. I fell in the lobby of my buildling on
Wednesday. Today I found out that a very small tear in the
rotator cuff of my right should became a very large one.
I've decided to have my medical insurance cover the surgery
because by the time the worker's comp would authorize the
surgery, scar tissue would lengthen the recovery period and
make it more painful.

The good news is that my doctor has an opening in his
surgery schedule next Thursday.

Glad it works great for you, Dick.

Hereabouts, I had major surgery today on a busted water pipe
underneath the house, underneath the concrete slab that is.
Thank God the plumber is my S corp client.

Sunday my wife busted left headlight while merely scratching
bumper of another car. And here I am with 1,000$
deductible.

And today, my W2 printing program messed up, all because I
had to tweak it because that "da*ned" IRS revised the form
adding one extra line print before printing first line.
(IOW,they revised the spacing on the form).

Plus I discovered one of my clients has 62 W2's to print,
many more employees than his usual number.

On the bright side, I have my own "opiates" tray over their:
Dewars, Glenfiddich, MacCallan's "Elegancia", and a
Dalwhinnie Distiller's Edition.

You're right, that's great news! Congratulations.

Is that still the good news part?

Stu

Getting off drugs is always good news. There are some
very unpleasent side-effects to opiates.

Today's mail brought a letter from my Health Insurance
provider. They APPROVED my appeal for my back surgery!!

That means surgery within 45 days and I get off all the
damn opiates I have been taking for pain relief.

I said 2005 would be a great year and the first mail of
2005 is a kicker in the right direction.
