You are free to choose any broker, bank, S&L, etc., to act
as trustee for your Roth IRA.

(And, if for any reason you find their service
unsatisfactory, you can transfer the IRA (Roth or
Traditional) to a different trustee in the future. You would
be better advised to go to the *new* trustee you've chosen,
and ask them to engineer a direct trustee-to-trustee
transfer.)

Default simple Roth IRA question

I'm a new investor and I'm about to set up a Roth IRA. My
question is, does it matter where I do it? There is a
financial advisor at my bank (credit union, actually), who
can do it, but I also have a retirement acct. set up through
TIAA CREF, so should I go with them? Does it matter who I go
with to set up my Roth IRA?

Many thanks!
