Wow!!! I sure didn't expect the "apparent" criticism to my> for documents resulted in IRS saying they couldn't find > them. > Pretty bad results. post. I am not directing this to anyone in particular, I just ask that you go back and look at your post and decide for yourself if you could have rephrased it in a little less confrontational manner. As to the person wanting a cite, I pulled the information from a BNA newsletter that didn't provide a link. Since I "thought" this was a fairly noncontroversial post I didn't see the need to find the exact cite. Since you have already provided it, I won't duplicate your work. Please do NOT reply to this post. -- Drew Edmundson << -------------------------------------------------> << The Charter and the Guidelines for submitting > << messages to this newsgroup are at www.asktax.org > << -------------------------------------------------> |

Was it a test of the their understanding of how documents can be "Charged Out" to other employees and how to locate & contact the person in possession of the document? I am suspect of the TEST that TIGTA conducted, and what is the point? What solutions did TIGTA recommend to alleviate the problem? That would depend on if TIGTA knew the documents even> for documents resulted in IRS saying they couldn't find > them. > Pretty bad results. existed.
