There are no IRS restrictions against it, but some FSAs
put their own restrictions on it -- legal or not.

I think I've got the problem resolved, but, if you E-mail me
and it bounces, a second try might work.
However, please reply in newsgroup.

It would depend on the specific facts and circumstances. Generally I'd say
yes, but the specifics may lead to a different answer.

Elective cosmetic surgery is not covered (or deductible as a medical
expense). However, reconstructive surgery does qualify.

Default FSA Coverage

I understand an FSA does not cover cosmetic surgery, but
what about if it is to restore your body to a state prior to
disease, trauma, accident, etc.

Let's say I was in an accident and have a scar. Would laser
surgery to reduce the appearance be covered, etc?
