I don't know. You could ask them though. Seriously, how
can an outside person have any idea what any person is
doing?

**Could be!!!= Only the shadow might know for sure!!!-
If you suspect fraud, there could be a reward from various
government agencies. IRS states it this way:

'If you believe someone is violating federal tax laws, you
should contact the IRS at (800) 829-0433, the Criminal
Investigation Hotline. If you prefer, you can provide your
information in writing to the Criminal Investigation Branch
at the service center where you file your return. Refer to
your tax package for the address of your service center.
Although you are not required to identify yourself, it is
helpful to do so. Your identity will be kept confidential.
You may also be entitled to a reward."

Default Alternate/Assumed Identities/Aliases on Mortgages/Deeds

I recently learned that the owner of an escort service and
an exotic dancer who works for her both have a number of
variations of their names and what appears to be
assumed/alternate identies on property deeds and mortgage
documents. They both use AKAs and FKAs. It looks like the
dancer has what appears to be alternate identities set up
somehow and also uses the AKAs & FKAs on these identities.
It also appears as if she assumed the identity of an elderly
woman in a nearby community with a name similar to hers, and
somehow attached this name to her property when looking at
the paper trail of recorded documents. I know that the
dancer just paid cash for a new home in the country, and the
house is in her real name without her middle initial on the
deed.

I know in this line of work, these people want to protect
themselves and their true identity from harrassment,
prosecution, etc., but the number of refinancings with
diferrent lenders and name changes per transaction is so
excessive, it appears more is going on here than just
self-protection. What is the scam here? Are they
sheltering cash and assets in other names to avoid paying
taxes?
