If you were incorporated there would be no need for a 1099,
so this is correct.

The time to pay for "this month" has passed already. It was
the 15th.

Contact the IRS to obtain Form 1040-ES. There is a work
sheet to help you calculate the amount of payments you
should make.

Please note: The form assumes you are preparing the
estimate early in the year, and calls for a first payment on
April 15, second on June 15, etc. Clearly, since you didn't
start your "self-employment" earnings until April, you will
not be out of line if you make a payment for the Mid-April
through June 30 period along with your initial submission
(and do so promptly).

When using the work sheet, pay special attention to line 11,
on which you should enter estimated self-employment earnings
-- which are then multiplied by .153 per cent, to determine
taxes.

You should not wait until the end of the year, or you will
have to pay penalties for not making timely estimated tax
payments. This is especially true for self-employed
persons.

You can download the form from www.irs.gov -- or visit an
IRS office, if one is nearby.

Yes.

Yes again. The penalty is figured from the date the payment
was due to the date it was paid. Thus, the sooner you pay,
the less the penalty.

Quarterly. See IRS Publication 505.

Default 1099

I am working on a 1099 basis even though i dont have my own
company incorporated . I have been receiving pay from
Mid-April. I understand that i have to file taxes every
quarter . Do i still have time to pay the taxes this month
for this quarter or have i passed the tax filing date . Also
is it a must to pay taxes every quarter or can i pay at the
end when i do my taxes at the end of this year .
