Does that mean that I can take another day off from my
rigorous retirement? Add that to the November Veteran's Day
and it becomes almost slothful.

I know this is off topic, but:
Pres. Clinton did not rename the Korean Conflict. At the
50th anniversary of the invasion of South Korea, Clinton
declared that Congress had designated June 27th (the day
Truman committed American forces) as National Korean War
Veterans Armistice Day and he ordered the flags flown at
half staff.

The official records at NARA still refer to Korea and
Vietnam as the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam Conflict. I
suppose the reason for this is that the U.S. Constitution
only gives Congress the right to declare the U.S. at war.
Either way, it certainly was a war to those who
participated.

As of some date in 1999, President Clinton signed a law
declaring the Korean Conflict to be the Korean War.

I have a BS in Business, accounting major (1964) and an MBA,
major Accounting and Taxation (1966). At that time I heard
some references to the Code of '39. One of my teachers had a
LLM, in taxation. Thank God he was not an academic type.

In addition to Harlan <g> , can anyone else predate a 1950
BBA (U. Michigan)? In those days, MBAs were primarily for
academic types. And then there was the Korean "Conflict".

Wow, does that mean I am older than you? BSBA, class of
'83. This was before we had a Masters in Accounting
program.
