Actually there are three other tax boards on AOL, although
they get very few questions. They are located in the
Personal Finance area under Business News. They are
designated as How Do TAx Cuts Affect You, Share Your Tax
Strategies and The new Tax Laws.

AOL has a personal finance section which has many message
boards. Currently, the tax questions are being championed
on a board called "Member's Tax Tips". During tax season,
there are a great many more boards (opened to the community)
which are serviced by group of professionals.

I don't know that outsiders can access these boards but here
is the URL:

http://pf.channel.aol.com/?a=1

If you gain access, look to the top right of the page and
use the link to "Taxes". Mouse the "Member's Tax Tips" to
be carried to the current board. It is the only one which
is currently open for tax questions. Of course, there many,
many, other boards which deal with topics having to do with
personal finance.

One volunteers for the position, goes through a period of
training, and is awarded the designation by a private
company. The community (internationally) is served, freely,
by those with experience in almost any field imaginable.

Well, you have to be on AOL, and you have to apply for it.
Basically, it means you work for free answering questions
to AOL subscribers. If you get to be an Expert, you do get
some compensation.

What you see is what you get!!- I am a
TaxService/Community Leader, and take time from my practice
to keep others informed about changes in the law, perks and
educational opportuities which are available to
professionals. . Those who appreciate my contributions are
welcome to them. About all others, I couldn't care
less!!- As for CCH I have had an ongoing relationship
with that company for many years. I often contribute to its
boards, when I have time, and properly refer people to CCH
articles on about 20 different forums, boards and newsgroups
(perhaps more)!!-

circumstances that constitute 'fair use':

The intended use of the material and whether the use is for commercial or

The nature of the copyrighted material;
The amount of material used in relation to the entire work; and nn
The effect of the use on the potential market of the material.

A couple quick questions:

Do you (John) have permission of CCH to repost this?

And, for your reposting of IRS news, could you place
"IRS NEWS" or "IRS (name of E-newsletter)" in the title?
As I subscribe to some of the newsletters, it would assist
me in deciding which of the articles here I do not need
to read (again)....
