Technically, there are no IRS districts anymore, so there
can be no district directors.

There are still some regulations that depend on the district
structure of the IRS.

A rose by any other name can be as ineffective.

IRS abolished district directors a few years ago.
Comparable officials today are Area Directors and Territory
Directors.

They don't exist any more, thanks to the last
reorganization. Unfortunately, the regs and publications
haven't caught up with the organization, so there are still
tons of instructions out there to file things with the
"district director." Is there some sort of all-purpose
issuance giving new guidance?

Default IRS district office directors

Does anyone know where I can find mailing addresses for IRS
district office directors? The IRS website doesn't seem to
want to give this information out, and my web searching
efforts have come up empty. Thanks for any help you can give
me.
