They began sending me two copies each month and I called and wrote several times to request that my payment be considered to extend my subscription, and not for two subscriptions. Yet, they've never corrected the problem. I won't be re-subscribing. How can they be so clueless as to re-hire Barry? << -------------------------------------------------> << The Charter and the Guidelines for submitting > << messages to this newsgroup are at www.asktax.org > << -------------------------------------------------> |

What you are dealing with there is the infamous "CPA2Biz"> with the AICPA? group that is now in control of all AICPA Conference sales. I've not had the problems you have, but that's because we generally pay by firm check and don't use the credit card for those transactions. -- Ed Zollars, CPA Phoenix, Arizona << -------------------------------------------------> << The Charter and the Guidelines for submitting > << messages to this newsgroup are at www.asktax.org > << -------------------------------------------------> |

| Has anybody else had problems with business transactions with the AICPA? I have attended 3 of their conferences over 3 years and in every case, they have double billed or mis-billed my credit card. For the Personal Financial Planning Technical Conference in January, they billed me the full conference fee for a spouse registration. I have called repeatedly faxed all the details of the issue and each time, a different person tells me they have no record of the previous call or fax. I even filed a disputed charge with American Express and after a month, they charged the amount back to the AICPA because they "did not respond" to the AMEX inquiry. I have had similar problems with membership billing. All freely provided advice guarantee correct or double your money back Frank S.
