(before widespread use of computers, actually) but eventually gave it up (as per the second sentence of your message). Too many problems with quality of work and/or reliability of workers. I handle about 20 of his clients (besides several clients of my own who use other EA's or CPA's), with various degrees of activities - some I complete their payroll quarterlies, w-2's, 1099's, etc along with their financials. Others it is strictly a once or twice time of year that I get plastic grocery sacks full of receipts & bank statements! I use QB for all of this write-up and it works great! Just thought you might like input from other side! | i'm not talking india. i'm a solo cpa who had given up small business accounting because it was too many headaches for too little compensation. i have a nice practice focusing on tax, financial and estate planning, but am looking to generate more revenue using the e-myth business model (others do the work). i'm thinking in terms of a virtual office where i do the marketing and supervision of small business accounting and having stay at home mom's (with accounting and bookkeeping backgrounds) do the monthly work on a flat fee per account basis in their own homes. anyone tried this approach, successfully or otherwise. can quickbooks be used efficiently or should specific write up be employed. thanks for any insights from those that have been there, done that. peter << -------------------------------------------------> << The Charter and the Guidelines for submitting > << messages to this newsgroup are at www.asktax.org > << -------------------------------------------------> |
