These threads are always problematical, since they have been
known to be posted by tax protesters looking for a way to
get a tax protest discussion started here (which Dick will
quash, but what the heck).

If you are truly interested in the issue, check out the
following site:

http://evans-legal.com/dan/tpfaq.html

However, realize that most tax protectors are "true
believers" who so desperately *want* to believe the story
that they will simply refuse to accept anything that goes
against them. That includes continuing to defend their
theory even after being thrown in jail. So if your husband
has truly "fallen" for this, you aren't likely going to
convince him otherwise easily--and certainly not by actually
showing him the law that requires him to pay tax.

Default paying income taxes

My husband has been listening to talk radio and has been
hearing that none of us have to pay income taxes. He is
insiting that there is no law about this and I would like to
show him that there is a law about paying income taxes. I
know that if you belong to some group that you don't pay
taxes, but, we are not associatied with any groups. Please
direct me where to look up this information.

Thank you,
M. Appleby
