You'll need the part year resident form:> months. Thanks very much. http://www.ftb.ca.gov/forms/03_forms/03_nrbktoc.html Probably an extension at this time. << -------------------------------------------------> << The Charter and the Guidelines for submitting > << messages to this newsgroup are at www.asktax.org > << -------------------------------------------------> |

Stop. Use form 540NR, rather than form 540. If the> months. | My sister worked in San Diego this year, for about six months. She then moved to and now works in Chicago, and is an Illinois resident currently. In filling out the California 540 form, I don't see anything about separating in-state from out-of-state income. All the calculations go off your federal AGI, best I can tell. Even schedule 540 doesn't seem to have any provisions for this. I know California wouldn't make it obvious on how to keep your CA income separate from Illinois, but how do I reflect this on a 540? Thanks very much. << -------------------------------------------------> << The Charter and the Guidelines for submitting > << messages to this newsgroup are at www.asktax.org > << -------------------------------------------------> |
