Yes you can claim any and all legitimate expenses you
actually incured in generating the $60 of income as long as
you also report this $60 of income on your schedule C.

Default transition from self-employed to fulltime W-2

I used to work self-employed computer consultant during the
years of 2001 and 2002. I had not incorporated, I would get
paid via 1099. I had home office setup, business car,
computer equipment etc which I had shown on my fed and CA
tax filings during 2001 and 2002. In 2003 I accepted
fulltime employment, but still doing some self-employed work
(moonlighting). But it so turned out that the income from
self-employed work during tax year 2003 was minimal (about
$60 !!:-).

My question in this situation can I still claim business
expenses, home office deductions etc as I used to while was
100% self-employed like before ?

Can I claim business losses since I had no income from my
self-employed business in 2003 ?

Can I offset some of the high income I had from
self-employed during prior years with this years losses ?

Does being employed fulltime prevent me from doing any of
the above ?

Thanks for your help
