Take a look at Form 9465, available at www.irs.gov, and see
if you qualify. It's a self-made installment agreement,
rarely denied, and simply attached to the face of the return
if it hasn't yet been filed.

However, if the 1st payment per above will come too soon for
you and you can full-pay within a few months, another option
is file timely, paying what you can and waiting for a notice
in around a month to then pay in more. There will be only
interest at a low rate, plus generally 1/2 of 1% percent per
month (or fraction thereof) penalty on the balance.
However, note that the $43 fee for the agreement might be
more than likely FTP penalties to be billed in your case --
you didn't say how much you owe. And note also that even
with the agreement, interest will still accrue.

Default Question: Which fed. tax form to use!?

I need to know whichfederal tax form to use. Was downsized
out of last job, haven't started new job yet, don't have the
$ to pay whats owed immediately (for a few months), I need
to know which tax form to use to get a delay without having
to pay any fines (which I of course likewise can't pay!) Any
info very greatly appreciated!
