| My broker at the last minute sent me corrected 1099-DIVs and 1099-INTs. The corrections are to my advantage, and increase my refund. The problem I see is that I filed electronically for my uncorrected refund. I'm worried if I submit the 1040X now, the IRS will refund the uncorrected amount a second time, instead of just the increment. I don't see a place on the 1040X to tell the IRS that it has already refunded X amount. Did I miss it? How do I handle this so that I don't wind up returning a duplicated refund? -- Jim << -------------------------------------------------> << The Charter and the Guidelines for submitting > << messages to this newsgroup are at www.asktax.org > << -------------------------------------------------> |
