No one should ever need either - if they make regular
backups of their hard drive. You do backup your computer,
don't you?

Or, you can burn the downloaded copy of TC on to a CD, as
has been suggested, or go to your favorite office products
store or even Walmart and purchase a copy on CD, probably
for less than the price of the downloaded version.

In my opinion, you do not need either, especially if you are
"trying to keep cost down." You have to do your own
evaluation of the cost of a backup compared to the cost of
whatever version of TaxCut you are buying, considering the
risk of having to pay for another copy of TaxCut if your
hard drive crashes. There are a couple of other options you
can consider. If you have a CD burner, USB mini drive, or
other backup device, you can make your own backup of the
downloaded file. You could also buy TaxCut on a CD instead
of downloading it. Then you would have the CD if you had to
reinstall it.

Default Taxcut Online

I'm about ready to download taxcut online and this year I'm
given the option to purchase a "download backup service" and
also a "backup of order" that would come in cd form. I've
never purchased either of these in the past, but I don't
believe it was an option. Do I need to order either one?
I'm trying to keep cost down but don't want to be frugle and
end up regretting it.
