It's a miscellaneous itemized deduction. See the
instructions for Schedule A of the 1040.

Default annuit losses

I purchased an annuity at age 54 in 1999, and I sold it in
Nov. 2003 at a substantial loss. I used after tax dough
also. Can I deduct this loss against some other gains?
