And most certainly a good idea this year, in view of the odd
nature of capital gains, post May 6th.

My Taxwise software has just one worksheet where you enter
the data, and it automatically breaks down into
losses/gains, long/short, pre May 6th and Post May 5th.

If you're entering the figures into TurboTax, why do you
need to attach another sheet? Doesn't the sheet say the
same thing as the figures you entered? Or are you just
entering the results of the calculations and overriding TT's
built-in calculations?

If you want to E-File, I think you need to enter the raw
numbers into TT, so that it can put them in the proper place
when transmitting to the IRS.

My answser is not to efile that type of return. The chance
of having pages sent in by USPS ever finding the efiled
return scares me.

Default E-Filing with attached sheets??

I've always used Turbo Tax, and I've always mailed in my
return.

This is because in some areas, I type SEE ATTACHED SHEET
(mostly for Capital Gains and also for dividends) and enter
the figures in TT. I then attach a sheet from my own records
(WORKS spreadsheet).

I would like to E-File my return, but can that be done???
How would I include my attached sheets??
