| I am not a U.S. person, although I have a case in immigration court and a Work Authorization. I did some freelance work for an American company and they sent me form W-9. They do not know exactly what my status is and I know they should've sent me one of the W-8 forms (possibly BEN?) which I know I can download from the internet and send back to them. But my question is: what if I do not feel comfortable sending my SSN to these people? Do I have to fill out the form and send it or do I have another choice? Thank you in advance. << -------------------------------------------------> << The Charter and the Guidelines for submitting > << messages to this newsgroup are at www.asktax.org > << -------------------------------------------------> |
