Try TaxCut. I switched to TC after 14-years with TT because
of the TT spyware. TC is not a polished as TT, but it's much
less of a headache.

According to the help file in TurboTax this software adds
the natural language search technology incorporated in the
product. How do you come to the conclusion that this is
spyware?

http://www.wextech.com/intuitpr2.html

Answerworks.com has nothing to do with TurboTax.

The AnswerWorks in TurboTax 2003 is not produced by
AnswerWorks, Inc., the company whose web site you looked at.
The AnswerWorks in TurboTax is a product of WexTech Systems,
Inc., whose web site is http://www.wextech.com. AnswerWorks
is the natural-language search engine in the TurboTax help
system. It is not spyware. The name AnswerWorks is a
registered trademark of WexTech Systems, Inc.

I have no connection with either of the companies mentioned.

I think you are jumping to conclusions. AnswerWorks is not
spyware.

Default TurboTax and their spyware AGAIN

As many of you know, last year TurboTax had spyware that
installed and was left behind when it was uninstalled.
The company sent out letters saying they were giving you
free use of the product for personal family use. I went a
step further and asked specifically if they removed all
spyware in the 2003 product before I placed and order.
I was assured there was no spyware with the product.

Guess what? I just uninstalled TurboTax 2003 and low and
behold there it was asking if I wanted to leave AnswerWorks
on my computer. I went to the AnswerWorks website:
http://www.answerworks.com and here is part of their
advertising there:

" Our focus is the convergence of telecommunications systems
and computer networks with emphasis on:
* Intelligent Communications,
* Advanced Intelligent Networks, "

I don't know about you, but I've had it with Intuit and
their spyware in every product they sell. They have lost me
as a customer for any of their products forever, because I
don't take being lied to lightly.
