I am sorry, but I do not think that will do any good. It is
my understanding that Verizon, in a somewhat misguided
effort to reduce spam, has instituted a form of sender
authentication. I apologize if I get the details wrong, but
it works something like this: During the initial smtp
handshaking, the verizon server (as recipient of your email)
will ask your smtp server whether it accepts bounces. If
not, the verizon server will not accept your message.

I posted your message on the verizon-customer-specific
newsgroup about emails after the following (Jeremy is (IIRC)
the Verizon person who answers these things on the
newsgroup):

I certainly hope you are addressing emails to verizon
subscribers to the correct domain, verizon.net, NOT
verizon.com.

Default MODERATOR: To anyone using verizon.net

Verizon.net is bouncing all e-mails I send to verizon users.
I have tried contacting them by e-mail and by phone and I
get the same response: Since you are not a verizon customer,
we can't help you.

So I would appreciate it if everyone who is a verizon
customer will send an e-mail to abuse[at]verizon.net
complaining that my e-mails are not getting through to
you.
