I could have sworn I'd already answered this somewhere.

You can't take it on your 2003 return, but you can
amend your (US) 2002 return to include it.

Amend your 2002 return using a Form 1040X. This will have
to be put on that return instead of being claimed for 2003.

Default Moving expenses

I don't know if there's any chance I can do this, but I
figured I'd ask:

We forgot to claim my moving expenses from the UK to the US
as a deduction for the 2002 return. I still have the
receipts - can I now claim them on the 2003 return or is it
too late?

As far as I can tell I qualify for the deduction based on
the distance test and the "laid off exception" to the time
test.

Kind regards,

Eiolf
