| 2002 was due 4/15/2003. You have 3 years from that date to AMEND your 2002 return. You can NOT claim the move on 2003's return. Get a Form 1040X from http://www.irs.gov and complete it for> figured I'd ask: > We forgot to claim my moving expenses from the UK to the US > as a deduction for the 2002 return. That cost may not legally be included on your 2003 return. Wayne Brasch, CPA, M. S. No and no. You can't claim them on your 2003 return (unless> as a deduction for the 2002 return. | Hi all, I don't know if there's any chance I can do this, but I figured I'd ask: We forgot to claim my moving expenses from the UK to the US as a deduction for the 2002 return. I still have the receipts - can I now claim them on the 2003 return or is it too late? Kind regards, Eiolf << -------------------------------------------------> << The Charter and the Guidelines for submitting > << messages to this newsgroup are at www.asktax.org > << -------------------------------------------------> |
