No, you're fine. That's the other side of the "use it or
lose it", is that you can use it before it's there.

Default Medical Savings Account

My husband had some money withheld from his salary for his
"Medical Savings Account".in 2003 This was money that he
designated be withheld each payday and could be used for
eligible medical expenses, and was "use it in 2003 or lose
it". He only had $100 withheld, and then left the company.
However, during the time he was employed, we had $800 in
unreimbursed medical expenses which were submitted to the
insurance company and paid. Is there any reporting that we
have to do about the $700 that was essentially "given" to us
for his expenses? Should we be receiving some form from the
insurance company that shows extra income to us of $700?
