Looks like you can't claim an expense if you use the GI Bill
money to pay it.

Nevertheless, it is same as grants and scholarships when
figuring allowable deductions/credits.

Do not include GI Bill moneys in your education tax credit.

As long as you're including the GI Bill payments in
"grants," yes. See IRS Publication 970.

Can I claim higher education expenses minus any grants even
though I am recieving money from my GI Bill? The GI Bill
