To late to file for a refund time limits have expired.

Well, I am hardly a tax expert but in my EZfile book this
year it says if you are a dependant and made 4,700 you must
file, if independant and made 7,800 you must also file.
Assuming that hasn't changed since 1998 I think one of those
would have applied to you also.

The only thing that confuses me is why you wouldn't have
filed to get your few hundred bucks back (or whatever they
held out).

Default Did not file in 1998...

I did not file in 1998, although I have filed every year
after. Any idea on if I should just consider this done and
move on? Anyone see the need to file...chances of IRS coming
after me for one year, with a gross of maybe $9000.00 in
total taxable income. Was a student, and well I didn't file
