Only the actual interest received is on the 1099.

Default Early redemption I-bond interest penalty

I know that if one prematurely withdraws from a CD, the
interest penalty is listed on that year's 1099-INT, and is
deductible on Form 1040, line 31. What about the premature
redemption of an I-bond that has a 3-month interest penalty
for early withdrawal? Will the 1099-INT for an I-bond also
show the penalty, and will it also be deductible on Form
1040, line 31? Or is only the net interest received listed
on the 1099? Thanks.
