Don't skip lines 29-39 and see what happens, however, line
31 would be zero. ed

The correct figure is %56,800, which is the breakpoint
between 5% and 15% capital gains rates.

Line 31 is -0- in this situation. What part of "skip lines
29-39 ..." do you not understand?

When one's non-15% income exceeds $58000, schedule D Part IV
says to skip lines 29-39 and go to line 40.

However, on the AMT form Part III line 46, it says to enter
the amount from Schedule D line 31. There are some notes and
footnotes on some other exceptions, but I don't see a clear
instruction for this case. Can anyone help?
